Radiology Reporting and Patient Safety.
Does the NHS really care?
Movie length: 13 mins
Of course the NHS cares about patient safety. It's a given. However, with radiology departments increasingly outsourcing their reporting to teleradiology providers, there are some important questions that need to be answered. Can NHS Trusts - and GPs - be absolutely sure of the experience and qualifications of the person reporting their patients' images? Is it important that person has access to the patient's clinical history at the time of reporting? Should patients be made aware when their images are being read outside the UK?
