“Walsall Manor Hospital Radiographer wins MEDICA UKIO prize”

26th July 2019

This year MEDICA attended the UKIO in Liverpool, probably the biggest industry event on the calendar.

Following a record breaking number of entrants for our ‘Win an iPad’ competition, Olyvia Neshava from Walsall Manor Hospital was drawn as the lucky winner from hundreds of entrants.

Finlay Garlick from the Account Management team at MEDICA, met with Olyvia at the Walsall Manor Hospital and was presented with her iPad.

Olyvia was delighted to accept the prize and said:

“I’m very pleased to have won the iPad – it couldn’t have come at a more convenient time! It will be so useful as I’m currently taking a Post-Graduate course and I’m sure it will help me as I embark on my reporting journey, something I’m looking to begin in the near future”.

About MEDICA

MEDICA is the market leader in the provision of teleradiology services, providing outsourced interpretation and reporting on MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), CT (computerised tomography) and plain film (x-ray) images. The Company currently offers three primary services to hospital radiology departments: NightHawk, an out-of-hours emergency service, routine cross-sectional reporting on MRI and CT scans, and routine plain film reporting on x-ray images.

MEDICA has developed a bespoke secure IT platform that provides market-leading linkage between a hospital’s Radiology Information System (RIS) and Consultant Radiologists, Reporting Radiographers and Rheumatologists who contract with MEDICA. Direct RIS access ensures that the full wider patient information is available and reviewed with every report.

The Company contracts with the largest pool of consultant radiologists outside of the NHS and has been trusted to provide more than 1.5 million examinations annually across its customer base of more than 100 NHS Trusts and various private hospital groups and diagnostic imaging companies.
